Area-Efficient Universal Code Generator for GPS L1C and BDS B1C Signals

Recently, multi-frequency multi-constellation receivers have been actively studied, which are single that process multiple global navigation satellite system (GNSS) signals for high accuracy and reliability. However, in order a receiver to GNSS signals, it requires as many code generators the number of supported this is one problems must be solved implementing an efficient receiver. This paper proposes area-efficient universal generator can support both GPS L1C BDS B1C signals. The proposed architecture alleviates area problem by sharing common hardware time-multiplex mode without degrading overall performance. According result synthesis using CMOS 65 nm process, has reduced 98%, 93%, 60% compared previous memory-based (MB UCG), Legendre-generation (LG Weil-generation (WG respectively. Furthermore, applicable all Legendre sequence-based codes.
